In order to be eligible for a Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Card, you must be diagnosed by a physician with one of the following qualifying conditions, according to Act 16 of 2016 (the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Act or the Act):

  • Addiction Substitute Therapy – Opioid Dependence
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
  • Anxiety
  • Autism
  • Cancer, including remission
  • Dyskinetic and Spastic Movement Disorder
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Epilepsy
  • Glaucoma
  • HIV / AIDs
  • Huntington’s Disease
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Neurodegenerative Diseases
  • Neuropathies
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Seizures
  • Sickle Cell Anemia
  • Terminal Illness
  • Tourette Syndrome
  • Damage to the nervous system of the spinal cord
  • Severe chronic or intractable pain

-NOTE: As Pennsylvania continues to expand its medical marijuana program and more research is done on the benefits of medical marijuana, more medical conditions will be added to the list of qualifying conditions.
